I hope this is the right place to post this..I have come to you guys before. The following error code is being displayed on my Dell laptop. The computer will not boot up even in safe mode..I know as I ask this I feel an "Oh dear..." comming on.. The error code : 0x0000C1FS 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000 That's it. Does anyone know what this is?

(windows vista sp1, duo core,2k ram 120 g harddrive, dell inspiron E1505)

It seems to be a known bug of vista that is going to be corrected in the next service pack...

a workaround:

if you have the install DVD you can boot on it and do a repair...

in repair mode command line you can type : bootrec /fixmbr

or,
that might be easier:
http://www.windowsvista.windowsreinstall.com/vistaultimate/repairstartup/part1.htm
