I'm running vista sp1 64bit on my dell desktop. Many sites seem to require active x or adobe flash player, but when I go to download adobe flash player
I'm advised that adobe flash is not compatible w/64bit Vista. I have to wait for Adobe flash player 10. Does any one know when this will be out? And is
active x a part of adobe? Why do I have to install anew with each website I go to? ..

activex is pure microsoft.
are you sur you security level has not for some reason set to very hight therefore blocking all java and others scripts? try setting your security level to normal in the internet option of IE |

.nounounounou .. security is set to med high level. But I'm still curious
to know when adobe will work with 64bit Vista.

try to reduce the securitu one knotch  just to check...

There is no solution except to wait until Adobe comes out with a version compatible for x64 systems. Once that happens, you will only need to install
Flash/Shockwave one time.
